Finally Over |
The worst season in coach Gt's Mega coaching career is finally over with a 4-12 record. This is the first time in his Mega career that coach Gt hasn't atleast won 6 games in a season after coaching a team for an entire season and the first time in 9 seasons that he hasn't lead the Cowboys to atleast 8 wins. When Gt was asked what led to such a disappointing seasons he replied with , well let's see it all starts upfront on both sides of the ball. The offensive line should it's age and didn't consistantly open up holes in the running game. The running game would avgerage under 90 yards per game for the season which is dead last in the league. That would force us to pass allot more than we would like. That would lead to the benching of Tony Romo after the first three games of the season where he was sacked 16 times and threw 10 interceptions to only 3 touchdowns in those 3 games. The Coach would then make the move to 2nd yr Qb Jon Watson to try and get a spark in the team. Watson would put up respectible numbers with 24 Td's and 21 int's but clearly wasn't ready to be the starting Qb for the Dallas Cowboys. On the other side of the ball the defensive line couldn't stop anyone which lead to the defense to end the season ranked in the bottom fourth of the league versus the run (27th) and the pass (24th).
So expect some changes in Big D next season coach GT has made it clear that Tony Romo will not be the Cowboys Qb next season and they will go with this years 3rd string Qb Bobby Watson as their starting Qb next season. The team will also look to rebuild thier aging offensive line via the draft and/or free agency. They will also need to get allot of help on defense where they are old at spots aswell. One of the first places they will look is at the MLb spot where Antonio Pierce has played well but is showing his age. The defensive line will be another area where they need to look at improving. The Lde spot will need to be upgraded along with the second Dt spot beside Walker. Dt Tank Tyler just hasn't perfromed well after being brought over in a trade a few seasons back. Cornerback will be another position they made need to look at with Newman starting to get up their in age.
There has been a bright spot this season even with the 4-12 record. Rookie Wr Mark Horton bursted on the scene with 81 catches the third most ever by a Cowboys receiver. To go with those catches he racked up 1393 yds receiving and 12 Td's which both are fifth best ever in Cowboys history and the most since season 2015. Coach Gt said he will do his best this offseason the rebuild and reload and push to get this team back on the winning track. |

Tony isn't Great in Big D |
| Tony Romo has started off season 24 on shaky ground and now has lost his starting job. Romo who has been sacked 16 times in 3 games and thrown 11 interceptions in those 3 games with only 3 Td's has been benched as the Cowboys Qb. Second year Qb Jon Watson will take over as the starting Qb in week 4 and will stay the starter until further notice. It really looks like Romo's days in Dallas are over atleast for now. |

The Dismantling starts |
| Valley Ranch - After the Cowboys returned home after their playoff lost to the Bucs the coach and owner got together to get ready for the offseason. After a meeting that last hours which sources claim they heard allot of yelling behind the close doors, the dismantling of this Cowboys team has begun. Numerous highly regarded and highly payed players look to be on their way out of Dallas this offseason. Sources state that the Cowboys do not plan on resigning Pro Bowl Ot Fred Miller and other players have been put on their trade block. Thos players include Dwight Freeney who has avged 20 + sacks a season here in Dallas. Second year speedster Wr David Snell who's production did drop off this season with the addition of Lee Evans. Big run stuffing Dt Marcus Stroud who has been a solid force in the middle for the Cowboys. MLb Bart Scott who probably had his best season as a run stopping Mlb this season for the Cowboys. Rg Bobbie Williams who was playing out of position at Lg because of Big Davis at Rg . Backup Qb Tony Romo who is a fan favorite in Dallas but with the drafting of rookie Qb Reese this past season Romo had to see the writing on the wall. The biggest suprise here is that Wr Lee Evans is on the block who just joined the team this season. Evans was a huge deep threat for the Cowboys but apparently his salary is to much for the Cowboys think about holding on to Evans. |

Cowboys resting players |
| It's been reported that the GT will rest his players in week 17 after the Bears won their lat 2 games. The Cowboys can't improve their position in the playoffs or hurt it with a win or lose in week 17 vs the Giants. So coach Gt has decided to pull his starters after about a half of play in the first half to let them rest and heal from a long season to get ready for the playoffs. |

Cowboys Clinch |
It's been a long time for coach GT and the Cowboys but for the first time in 8 seasons the Cowboys have secured a playoff spot. Not only have they clinched a playoff spot , they have also clinched the Nfc East Crown for the first time in 9 seasons. Coach GT has his team poised to win 10 games for the first time in 4 seasons and if they can win their last 2 games they can have 11 wins in a season for the first time in 8 seasons.
The coach won't be happy with just making the playoffs. Gt says he will still see this season as a failure if he doesn't lead this team to the Mega Bowl. The Cowboys haven't been to the big game since the 2005 season and Coach GT hasn't been to the Bowl since the 2004 season where he lost to Raiders 31-28 in his first stint as the Cowboys coach. So you can see he's itching to get back. |
