Redskins @ Packers Green Bay, WI --Two storied franchises met on Lambeau's hollowed ground as the Packers tossed out the welcome mat for the Redskins. Packers' RB Ryan Grant was the workhorse in this one for Green Bay. Grant was the main cog in the counterstrike to the Skins high-powered offense. The Skins D seemed off-balance all game long with Packers guards and tackles moving in every direction. Grant's 170 yards on the ground kept the Packers in the Skins redzone most of the day; Grant would reach the endzone himself twice. With Washington's D suffering from motion sickness the offense did its best to keep pace. With RB Fred Jackson out, RB Chauncey Washington did his best to imitate Grant's performance. Not quite measuring Grant's yardage Washington did manage 2 scores of his own. But it would be WR James Dawson who would steal the show. Dawson would grab 6 passes for 206 yards and 3 scores. Twice has Dawson gone over 200 yards and twice has he caught 3 scores but never in the same game. And the Skins would need it as the Packers offense show no signs of slowing. The sweeping landscape grew cold but the Packers offense didn't. The flourishing running game of Green Bay would setup a Playaction pass deep to WR Greg Jennings for a wide-open score. But it wouldn't be enough as the Skins win this shootout 52-38.
